Welcome to my site devoted to Solomon Islands – that remote, little-known and enigmatic island country in the Pacific – and its mysteries.
My name is Wojtek Bobilewicz and let me begin by asking you to forgive this site’s imperfections, both in terms of information technology (creating Internet sites is not my strong point so I have to utilise ready-made solutions) and – first and foremost – in terms of information itself. Solomon Islands and their mysteries is a very broad subject, a subject made all the more difficult because of the political situation of the country, deeply-rooted customs, dictates and bans, and the – apparent or real – withholding or keeping secret of some information.
As I will gather more information I will obviously update the site. Let me also at the same time ask you for any suggestions and for new data, if any. Together we can do much more!
Let us begin, then. I suggest you first click on the button called "Origins". In that part the Reader will find out how I have become interested in the "Unknown", and in particular – although it is by no means the only part of the world whose mysteries fascinate me - in Solomon Islands’ mysteries.
The part called "Dragon Snakes" concerns strange lights that more or less regularly appear in certain places of the interior of particular islands in the archipelago, particularly over the islands of Guadalcanal and Malaita (and - as I have found out recently - also over the island of Makira). Are they alien craft of a civilisation that has its residence in underground tunnels or underwater caves, or are they manifestations of the forces of nature? Is it some human activity, or – last but not least – a mystification, manipulation, a joke or a hoax? EACH of the above possibilities should be regarded equally.
The part called "Giants" describes briefly what we know – or rather what we DON’T know – about alleged hominoid creatures living in the interior of the islands of Guadalcanal and Malaita and characterised by thick hair cover, exceptionally large height and own language and culture. It is without doubt one of the most ephemeral phenomena in Solomon Islands and probably most difficult to prove.
The link called "Kakamora" will lead us to the page concerning extraordinary small beings that apparently live in caves situated deep in the thick jungles of the islands of Guadalcanal and Makira. Although proving their existence (which would only be possible thanks to eyewitness observations and photographs, and/or video recordings) is almost as difficult as in the case of "giants", there are, at least, in my opinion, certain correlations between them and the now-famous “Hobbits” of the island of Flores in Indonesia. Research and potential observations (as well as proving the potential existence of those beings) is made more difficult by the fact that "Kakamora" and their alleged residences are treated by local inhabitants as an absolute taboo.
After clicking on the button called "Ancient Ruins" the Reader will find a page concerning alleged ruins of a temple (?) or a castle (?), as well as a grave of a "giant" (?) which are apparently situated in the island of Malaita and which have been described in an article and a book by a Marius Boirayon. Boirayon even states geographical coordinates of those alleged ancient ruins of an edifice erected apparently by an ages-old "Ramo" civilisation… Having read an excellent book by one of our Polish researchers I am more inclined to think that – if they exist at all – those constructions appeared some 30 to 50 thousand years ago and come from… the Indus Valley! Technical, climatic and sociological problems aside (wild animals, poisonous insects and arthropods, sticky, slimy and steep paths, tropical rainstorms, hostility or just unfriendliness of some natives etc.) – which by itself may constitute a considerable hardship and challenge, but also material for an interesting documentary – those ruins are the easiest (as they are tangible and long-lasting) target for discovery, that is if they are there at all...
To have a clear vision of how my knowledge regarding mysterious phenomena in Solomon Islands has developed, and to see how the existence of such phenomena can be based on circumstantial and indirect evidence or logical arguments, the Reader may want to click on the button called "Proof, Circumstantial Evidence". I have placed there, in a chronological order (according to the dates they came into my possession), individual pieces of a puzzle, snippets of information and fragments of news which – regarded individually – may not constitute a strong evidence, but taken as a whole can – at least – make the Reader think differently about them.
"Information on Solomon Islands" is – as the name implies – a site with information on "the place that time forgot". The Reader will find here a number of links concerning Solomon Islands (some of them in Polish) as well as my own descriptions and observations which at least attempt to explain why the "strangeness" and "mysteriousness" of the country and the archipelago is not limited to "unexplained" manifestations, events, places or beings, but also stems from the very specific attitude of most of the natives as well as the latest (post-WW2) history of the country. The Reader will also find here some links to people or organisations that deal with such issues as UFOs, giants, cryptozoology, paleaoastronautics, paleoarchaeology etc., etc.
What is missing from the discussion on the mysteries of Solomon Islands – is strong evidence (stronger than the existing evidence, anyway). The only such evidence – I believe - may be photographs and/or video recordings which show up close (at least as close as physically possible) those mysterious lights, beings, ruins. The only way to photograph and/or film them is... going to Solomon Islands with an expedition!! By clicking on the button called "Expedition to Solomon Islands" the Reader will be directed to a page that briefly describes such an expedition. You will also find an appeal to all the Readers... The expedition itself – once it is known that it is taking place and when – is going to have its own, dedicated site, probably in a form of a blog.
